WASH in HCF Community of Practice Launch Event

The webinar series and resource outlet on WASH in Healthcare Facilities hosted by Emory University is evolving into a Community of Practice for WASH in Healthcare Facilities.
The launch event for this new Community of Practice Initiative will take place on Tuesday, October 19 from 9:00AM – 10:30AM. The first half of the event will focus on introducing this new Community of Practice, goals, and how you can be involved. The second half of the event will get down to business, with a discussion on hand hygiene in healthcare facilities.
The mission of this Community of Practice is to organize an action-oriented learning platform aimed at encouraging dialogue among members of the community, particularly within the health and WASH sectors. We will host live events throughout the year, as well as offer recorded resources, including interviews and virtual healthcare facility tours. We will work with WHO, UNICEF and the Water Institute at UNC to further disseminate key materials, meanwhile we seek to co-host sessions with other communities and networks in the WASH/health space. We are working with a steering committee to guide the content and modality of our events, though we welcome feedback from the community (you all!) at any time.
