Missing Billion

TIME

There are one billion people living with disabilities in the world. They have, on average, greater healthcare needs yet are often excluded from services. As a result, people with disabilities have over 2-fold higher mortality levels. This pattern is highlighted in COVID-19 where risks of infection and mortality are far higher among this 15% of our global population.

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, join our live webinar to hear from us about the facts, the impacts, and possible solutions to achieving equitable healthcare for everyone, including for people with disabilities.

Speakers: From the Missing Billion Team
Ola Abu Alghaib, UN Partnership for the Rights of People with Disabilities
Hannah Kuper, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
Mari Tikkanen, Scope Impact
Phyllis Heydt, Office of the WHO Ambassador for Global Strategy (Community Health Acceleration Partnership)
