One month ago, in a widely circulated white paper, the Community Health Impact Coalition articulated Priorities for the Global COVID-19 Response, arguing that Community Health Workers (CHWs) are poised to play a pivotal role in fighting the pandemic.

Four weeks on, it’s clear that decisive action to blunt the impact of the pandemic is facing a critical bottleneck: CHWs—despite being a critical part of the response—are not receiving personal protective equipment (PPE).

Join them this Friday at 9am ET / 2pm BST / 4pm EAT as the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai hosts three Coalition members to lay out what’s needed next.

Featuring:

  • Rita Nakakande, Community Health Worker, Uganda Ministry of Health/Living Goods
  • Dr. Ami Waters Co-Medical Director, Last Mile Health & Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine-Pediatrics, University of Texas Southwestern
  • Dr. Madeleine Ballard, Executive Director of the Community Health Impact Coalition & Assistant Professor, Arnhold Institute for Global Health
