Outcome Harvesting is a participatory monitoring and evaluation method that enables users to identify, verify, and make sense of outcomes with or without reference to predetermined objectives. Outcome Harvesting considers relationships between actors and factors in a system when determining plausible contribution of social change agents to outcomes. Grace Awantang of the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) discussed the pros and cons of the methodology and share key findings from CCP’s programming in Ethiopia and Bangladesh.
