Consultant for Updating the LifeNet International Management Curriculum
LifeNet International is seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant to update and finalize our Management Curriculum, which equips health facility staff with essential business management skills. The Management Curriculum consists of 20 lessons organized into 4 modules covering critical areas such as data-based decision-making, financial management, human resource management, and pharmaceutical management.
LifeNet teams have already reviewed the curriculum and provided feedback on necessary revisions. This input will serve as a strong foundation, making the update process more streamlined. Additionally, current staff will support moving the revised curriculum through internal approval and implementation.
The Consultant will be responsible for incorporating these team recommendations, refining content to reflect best practices, and ensuring alignment with LifeNet’s recently updated Medical Curriculum format. The Consultant will also develop Facilitator’s Guides and PowerPoint presentations to support LifeNet Management Trainers in delivering high-quality training to partner health facility staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Review all LifeNet Management Curriculum Modules 1-4, incorporating feedback from LifeNet teams.
- Incorporate the latest tools and best practices to enhance the curriculum content, reorganize the content for improved learning, with the potential for expanding it to 5 modules
- Edit and refine pre- and post-tests to accurately align with the revised curriculum.
- Coordinate with digital and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) teams to ensure the curriculum aligns with LifeNet’s digital strategy and enhances the M&E process.
- Align Management training materials with the format and standards of the recently revised Medical Curriculum.
- Develop comprehensive Facilitator’s Guides and PowerPoint presentations for each module to support LifeNet Management Trainers.
Proposed Timeline
- Duration: 4 months
- Proven experience in curriculum development, particularly in business management or healthcare management.
- Deep understanding of management principles, especially in low-resource healthcare settings.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations or in international development is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with translators and coordinating international teams.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
