Satellite #16 – No Longer Invisible: Bringing community health to light by bridging healthcare, social, and societal engagement to build better systems for health
Community health is a cornerstone of a ‘systems for health’ approach and essential for meeting the SDGs. But how will tomorrow’s ‘systems for health’ be governed and can they effectively improve health outcomes with a diversity of social and societal partners? Join experts, practitioners, and researchers to discuss integrating community health in fragile settings, the real-life challenges of building accountability processes, the pluralism of approaches to learning and evidence for community health, and the future of community health financing.
While we request registration for this event to give us an idea of how many attendees there will be, registration is not required. Please be encouraged to join us on 9 October for a host of interesting speakers and lunch.
The day will include speakers from the Ministry of Health, Liverpool School of Hygiene, ReBUILD Consortium, Johns Hopkins University/AlmaAta40, CORE Group members, and USAID’s Maternal and Child Survival Program. A full agenda will be shared shortly.
