Putting women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health at the heart of Universal Health Coverage (UHC)

Wednesday, December 7, 2016

Achieving the SDG targets for women’s and children’s health will require quality sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health services that can reach all those who need them. How can the movement for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) be aligned with the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health to prioritise these essential services? This webinar from Save the Children and the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health discussed ways to reach all women and children through Universal Health Coverage. Giorgiana Rosa, Senior Health Policy and Advocacy Adviser, Save the Children, presented Save the Children’s report A Common Cause: reaching every woman and child through Universal Health Coverage. Helga Fogstad, Executive Director, The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, spoke to the importance of UHC for the implementation of the Global Strategy on Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health.
