Join Pathfinder International, FP2030, and Humanity & Inclusion as we launch the third edition of Pathfinder’s popular training service provider manual, Developing an Adolescent Competent Health Workforce: Training Service Providers in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health. This revised resource features an enhanced focus on inclusion—with specific attention to marginalized adolescents and young people with disabilities.

During this webinar, health and program professionals, advocates, and youth with disabilities will discuss innovative and actionable program ideas for providing inclusive sexual and reproductive health information and services for all adolescents and youth.

  • Opening remarks by Emma Žaja, Social Development Adviser, FCDO.
    Emma Žaja is a Social Development Adviser at the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (formerly DFID). She has recently moved from the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Team to the Disability Inclusion Team. Emma has experience in a range of sectors including health, humanitarian and conflict reduction and has spent time working in Jordan and Malawi.
  • Zekia Musa Ahmed, Inclusion Assistant for the Women integrated  Sexual and Reproductive Health (WISH), Humanity & Inclusion (HI), South Sudan.
    Before joining HI, Ms. Ahmed worked as a Senior Disability Rights Activist at the General Secretary for the South Sudan Women with Disability Network and served as Vice Chair Lady for the South Sudan Union of the Visually Impaired.
  • Alessandra Aresu, Director of Global Health, Humanity & Inclusion
    Alessandra Aresu is a gender, age, and disability inclusive health specialist with a priority focus on inclusive sexual and reproductive health and rights and comprehensive sexuality education.
  • Martine John, Nurse, Buzirayombo Dispensary
    Martine John is a nurse at Buzirayombo Dispensary in Chato District Geita region, TZ who was trained on YFS and disability inclusive services. He provides services to young people including those with disability and will share his experience via video for the webinar. 
  • Cate Lane, Director of Adolescents and Youth, FP2030
    Cate Lane supports the development and implementation of high quality commitments to improve the sexual and reproductive health of young people. She has worked with adolescent and youth programs for over 30 years. 
  • Noel Maro, Program Officer, Pathfinder International
    Noel Maro works with Pathfinder on the Scaling up Family Planning Project as a Youth Project Officer in Central Zone, TZ.  He is very passionate about supporting youth, especially those with disabilities.
  • Marta Pirzadeh, Senior Technical Advisor, AYSRHR, Pathfinder International
    Marta Pirzadeh has over 20 years of experience in the public health field with a primary focus on AYSRH, maternal and infant health, HIV prevention and community-based programming.
