Launch of the Group of Friends in Support of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Healthcare Facilities

Organized by the UN Permanent Representatives of Hungary and the Philippines in cooperation with WHO
The Group of Friends in Support of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Health Care Facilities is comprised of Permanent Representatives and chaired by Hungary and the Philippines. Together, the Group of Friends will leverage UN Member State commitments through increased cooperation and collective action, in response to the UN Secretary-General’s Call to Action for universal WASH in healthcare facilities.
This event will present UN Permanent Representatives and WHO officials, including Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, as they launch this new Group of Friends and look ahead to opportunities to further progress for WASH in healthcare facilities.
