Integrated Community Case Management of Childhood Illness Experiences in DRC, Malawi and Senegal

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

The Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program (MCHIP) co-hosted with CORE Group a webinar where Dr. Serge Raharison, MCHIP’s Child Health Technical Officer, presented experiences on integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) of childhood illnesses from Senegal, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Malawi. These countries are implementing national-scale iCCM programs and their respective experiences provide important lessons for the global community to help other countries introduce and scale up this promising approach. Dr. Raharison shared the result of the documentation on Jan. 24, 2012 of best practices and bottlenecks to iCCM programs USAID recently supported in these three countries.
