303,000 mothers and 5.6 million children die globally each year, including over 2.6 million newborns who die in their first month and almost 1 million on their first day of life.

USAID aims to save 15 million children and 600,000 mothers by 2020. The 2018 Acting on the Call report focuses on facilitating the journey to self-reliance for preventing child and maternal deaths.

Join us for a webinar on 2 August 2018 from 9:30-10:30am EDT to learn more about how USAID is working with governments to meet health goals. Kelly Saldana, USAID’s Director of the Office of Health Systems, will discuss the findings of the 2018 Acting on the Call report, highlighting progress made, and discussing areas that require additional strengthening to foster self-reliance. The session will also feature time for question and answer.
