As a part of the release of ICRW’s newest brief on racial justice and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), we will discuss the importance of using a reproductive justice lens for U.S. advocacy on global SRHR.

With the rise of diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) initiatives – while the sector reflects on and moves to implement racial equity into our work – this dialogue on how to implement and center this work and move past rhetoric is timely.

The roundtable chat will bring together advocates from around the globe to discuss why reproductive justice matters to their work and their vision for the future of U.S. advocacy.

Speakers:

– Ana Barreto, Director of Transnational Birth Equity at National Birth Equity Collaborative
– Dr. Annabel Sowemimo, Community Sexual & Reproductive Health Doctor and Founder of non-profit Decolonising Contraception
– Seyram Dodor, Policy Associate at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) (moderator)
