Senior Associate, Knowledge Management & Communications
Project Overview:
USAID’s Health Evaluation and Applied Research Development (HEARD) Project is a global implementation science partnership. The Project’s mission is to improve health and development in low resource contexts through better use of evidence to inform program implementation and policy. The HEARD partnership addresses policy and program priorities in thematic areas such as maternal, newborn and child health, protecting children from violence, mental health and psychosocial support, urban health and disability assistive technologies. The Project is implemented through a partnership of more than thirty-five organizations spanning implementation, policy, research and advocacy-oriented organizations. HEARD Project activities take place in 17 countries and across five regions.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Health Associate, Knowledge Management and Communications works closely with the Technical Director for Program Development and Implementation to coordinate and manage knowledge management and dissemination activities to strengthen our partnership and advance our evidence-to-use goals within our thematic areas. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Communications:
-Support HEARD partners with the development of virtual knowledge hubs in various thematic areas (such as protecting children from violence, women centered care, etc.);
-Coordinate events such as webinars and global consultations;
-Draft communication updates for donors, partners and the public;
-Manage HEARD project social media.
Knowledge Management:
-Manage internal file sharing platforms and support the streamlining of knowledge management processes across partner networks;
-Support to project reporting, documentation of lessons learned and process documentation within thematic area efforts;
-Assist with opportunity and business development efforts.
Product Development and Packaging:
-Ensure quality and finalization of project deliverables;
-Support the synthesis and innovative packaging of research findings and consultative processes to inform change;
-Support development of presentations for webinars, workshops, meetings, etc.
