Do you have strong skills in business development with a focus on Global Health? ICF seeks a Growth Lead to support our expanding global infectious disease portfolio of projects.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced global health professional with a track record of superior client service delivery and growth. This position will support the leadership team in the development and implementation of short and long-term strategic plans. This position will expand upon an already successful portfolio of established and growing work at USAID, primarily in the areas of infectious disease, global health security, and tuberculosis control. Responsibilities include leading the identification of and preparation for opportunities and making significant contributions to the solutioning process and writing of compelling proposals that result in new programs for the organization.

You will work closely with leaders across the practice area, subject matter experts, other ICF stakeholders, and external partners and foster a “one ICF” solution. This position will be located in the Washington DC metro area and consideration may be given to relocation or remote work. Travel to client sites, ICF offices globally and conferences may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate the effective growth of a USAID-focused business pipeline focused on infectious disease, global health security, and tuberculosis, totaling close to $150 million.
Lead capture, bid and proposal processes specific to this ICF Portfolio of work, and contribute to other growth initiatives within ICF’s wider global health practice.
Contribute to writing of specific technical sections of proposals, including technical approach and management plan, compelling executive summaries, and/or one-voicing of entire proposal before submission.
Use your deep and current connections with USAID and other organizations to fully understand their current and upcoming needs.
Coordinate closely with a team of technical experts to ensure that all proposals reflect current best practice and innovations that are specific to ICF’s approach.
Collaborate with Leadership, Business Development, and other ICF functions; leverage ICF corporate processes, systems, and resources to ensure a robust pipeline.
Develop strategic teaming relationships with US- and non-US-based partners—including local partners, consultants, universities, and NGOs– to facilitate winning new work.
Expand ICF’s external brand through thought leadership, panel presentations, participation in professional societies, and other activities; engage business line staff in these activities.
Support organizational capability by developing business line staff capacity in client engagement to increase access to client intelligence.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience managing the capture, bid and proposal processes (including technical writing), often supporting multiple efforts simultaneously, in response to procurement opportunities released by for USAID and other international development organizations
5 + years of experience working in and/or supporting USAID health programs (with a focus on infectious disease, global health security, and tuberculosis control) with demonstrated success building work in a professional services / consulting setting
A strong understanding of USAID’s processes for competing and awarding solicitations, including an understanding of the USAID procurement cycle and approaches to co-creation
Demonstrated ability to foster partnership with business leadership, subject matter experts and external partners to help shape the business strategy
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or MPH or above in a Public Health discipline preferred
French or Portuguese preferred
