Though contested by other departments, the EA team is clearly the best at PSI. EA is known as the innovation lab, a place where exciting new ideas in global health are tested. Currently, we have programs operating in Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Somaliland, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
We are looking for an Associate Program Manager (APM) to help us provide support to PSI’s programs in Ethiopia and Tanzania. We are looking for someone passionate about contributing to the health of those we serve, excellent writing skills and the ability to link programs with finances. This full time position is based in Washington, D.C.
With generous support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), PSI is implementing Adolescents 360, an innovative investment with a consortium of partners including the Society for Family Health/Nigeria (SFH/Nigeria), the Center on the Developing Adolescent from the University of California, Berkeley, and IDEO.org. The project is working with adolescents, young people, parents, community members, providers, and policy makers in Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Tanzania to design scalable, cost-effective models aimed at increasing voluntary, modern contraceptive use among adolescent girls aged 15-19.

The Associate Program Manager, East Africa position will provide programmatic, administrative, logistical, financial, and report writing support to Adolesents 360 in Ethiopia and Tanzania, as well as programmatic, administrative, logistical, and financial support to the other diverse portfolio needs in Ethiopia. This position will report to the Program Manager, East Africa with a dotted line to the Program Manager, Adolescence 360.
