The primary responsibility of the Accountant/Analyst is management of the day-to-day financial interface with assigned country field programs. The Accountant/Analyst is the primary contact point between the field finance staff and the finance department in the International Office. The Accountant/Analyst either provides directly or coordinates the support required by the field programs including: ACCPAC accounting system, accounting policy issues, accounting procedure issues, and participation in the Field Support Team (FST) process to ensure adequate financial support to field programs. In addition, the Accountant/Analyst supports PCI’s program development efforts as needed by developing budgeting management tools. The position requires analysis and independent thinking to facilitate the recognition of possible issues.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; or technical training and 3 additional years of work experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional work experience in a related field required, with at least 3-4 years in a similar role
  • CPA or chartered accountant preferred
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required
  • Experience with computerized accounting packages required; experience with ACCPAC preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required; expertise in advance Excel knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills including writing, verbal and interpersonal relations and cross-cultural communication required
  • Experience with customer services
  • Analytical skills required
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure required
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a team member of a fluid organization
