Abuja, July 2023//  The Chief of Party of the R4S, Dr. Enrique PAZ led the Nigeria team on a courtesy visit to the WHO Nigeria at UN House. He was received by the Deputy WHO Representative in Nigeria, Dr. Alexandra Chimbaru.

A lot of open discussions on the strategies for achieving ZIP took place, and a commitment to continued collaboration between WHO and Christian Health Association of Nigeria (CHAN) that is implementing ZIP R4S in Nigeria, and the contextual opportunities for learning that the project brings and living no child behind from getting immunized.

The Deputy WHO Representative, Dr. Alexandra Chimbaru commended R4S focus on the ward level and proposed support for Community Health Workers (CHW). WHO and R4S must work together in complementarity to benefit from each other. R4S engaged WHO in microplanning and plans to collaborate on data management and monitoring, including the use of Open Data Kit, and share information on ZIP populations.
