HIV/AIDS Working Group

Vision: The HIV/AIDS Working Group combats the HIV/AIDS crisis by ensuring that HIV/AIDS programming is adequately integrated into effective child survival, maternal health, and primary health care services as part of a community-based and holistic approach.

2007 Working Group Highlights

The HIV/AIDS working group, in coordination with the Nutrition Working Group presented a State of the Art Technical Update on Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission and Infant/Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Options for HIV+ Mothers in November 2006 in Washington, DC.

The event served to update participants on the evidence-base related to IYCF and HIV transmission and included highlights from the latest WHO technical consultation, as well as findings and lessons learned from the LINKAGES Program.
