Lifting Up DC’s Young Professionals at Mentorship Meet-Up

This month, mentors and mentees met in Washington, DC to discuss progress made so far and to continue building momentum. CORE Group believes in building strong networks of professionals in community health – especially the young people who are the future of the field.

A key part of the YPN effort is its Mentorship Program, which connects CORE Group members of varying levels of experience in order to support career development, learning, and exchange among our diverse community.

In its first year, the program supports nine Mentor-Mentee pairs, from multiple professional backgrounds and geographic locations. Pairs have flexibility on mentoring activities, which include goal setting, professional skills development, resource sharing, and more.

Cohort 2 applications will open in November 2018.

YPN welcome 21-35-year-olds who are students, interns, or early career professionals to take part in networking happy hours and knowledge sharing and skills building events.
