Meeting Description
All of CORE Group’s Community Health Network gatherings are open to everyone. No need to reinvent the wheel—come to our Spring Meeting 2012 to gain access to the latest ideas and tools in community health—and share yours as well.
During our Network’s lively events, we focus on community health design and implementation, with an emphasis on maternal, newborn and child health. Participants include staff of CORE Group Member NGOs and Associates, academics, advocates, donors, the private sector—anyone interested in community health. Our Spring Meeting 2012 includes four days of content-rich activities, including skill-building, State-of-the-Art updates, keynote addresses, lively roundtable sessions, and participatory technical forums. Our Working Groups engage all participants in technical dialogue. Participants highly rate the networking and resource sharing during these meetings. A few social events thrown in help us get to know each other, and are, well, fun.
This year we are featuring a food security and nutrition track on the first day of our meeting (Tuesday), in conjunction with a free Monday Pre-Session called Agriculture 101 for Health and Nutrition Practitioners. Register for that session here.
Meeting objectives

2. Identify and share specific resources and technical information that will improve community health with a focus on maternal, newborn and child health efforts, with specific regard to quality, equity, sustainability and/or scale-up.
3. Strengthen CORE Group’s Working Groups, while producing meaningful output through Working Group-led activities, workplan development, participatory events, theory development and technical recommendations.
4. Foster substantive partnerships and linkages among CORE Group Member NGOs, Associates, academics, advocates, donors and other partners.
